Fitness Tip # 14

Work off those calories! We all ate more food on Thanksgiving Day than we normally do, and most of us ate more BAD food on Thanksgiving Day than we normally do. There is nothing wrong with enjoying the holiday, and having a break from your normal nutrition program.

However, now that Thanksgiving is over, it's not too late to practice some damage control. Believe it or not, every calorie that you consumed on Thanksgiving did NOT go directly to bodyfat storage. Some of it was used for energy, and some of it became stored energy for later use.

Now is when you need to use those stored calories, so get up off the couch and go do something! Ideally you would engage in some sort of structured exercise session, followed by some cardiovascular training. However, even if you aren't willing to do that, at least get up and go for a walk, or go play catch in the front yard, or go rake some leaves. ANY exercise is better than NO exercise!
