Antioxidants should be as much a part of your daily nutrition program as getting the proper amounts of protein, carbs and dietary fats. Antioxidants combat the free radicals that are created in your body by things such as exercise, sunlight, chemicals, and smoking or pollution.

Antioxidants can be found in many foods, most notably fibrous carbohydrates such as broccoli and asparagus, and certain fruits, especially blueberries. There are many other foods that also contain powerful antioxidants, and many very effective supplements that you can take as well.
