Important Personal Development Partners Update!

By on October 12, 2007

Well here we are just one short week away from the end of the first membership drive for Personal Development Partners, and the response has been huge!

The conversations and sign ups at the site are happening so fast that I am literally having trouble keeping up with it all. That is a good problem to have, however, because it means that a valuable community is being built, and that was the mission from the get-go, so I couldn't be happier!

Join Personal Development Partners Today!

This initial membership drive ends at midnight on Friday, October 19th, so now is the time to come on board! Not only will joining up now make you eligible for a chance to win part of the over $500 worth of cash and prizes that I am giving away, but the site membership fees will be going up after Friday.

PDP is 100% free to join for everyone, and you can take advantage of all that the site has to offer without spending a dime. However, there are numerous benefits to signing up as a Premium member, and during the membership drive, Premium membership is only $10 for 6 months.

There is a term for that: dirt cheap!

As any of the present site members will attest to, PDP has a ton of value, and more and more people are joining every day, creating even more value on a daily basis. Please don't confuse "dirt cheap" with not having any value, because that is far from the case!

As I type this, there are almost 250 separate conversations posted on the site, totally well over 1,000 individual posts. The wisdom and experience that has been shared by both veteran as well as "newbie" personal development junkies has been staggering, and the growth and learning is just getting started.

Anyway, that's enough gushing from me about how great it is. Just go to the site yourself and check it out. Signing up is 100% money and obligation free, and if you see the value, then you can decide if you want to spend 10 bucks to get some serious perks, including all of these products that have been donated by the site's Senior Thought Leaders.

Also, don't forget about the incredibly simple PDP Affiliate Program, and a bunch of cool banners that you can use to promote the site as well.

In order to see the complete (and HUGE) list of benefits that Premium members at PDP have access to, I have copied and pasted the text from the site's Paid Subscriptions page below. However, be sure to scroll all the way down for one more BRAND NEW perk that I just added!

Premium Member
  • Surf the site 100% Advertisement FREE.
  • 24-hour access to FREE eBooks, Audio downloads, and Electronic content donated by Senior Thought Leaders. (100% original content – not repurposed downloads that we've all seen already. Click here for the present list)
  • Save $50 (over 50%!) off of the awesome Reality Creation Secrets program! (click link to see product at its full price)
  • Save $5 (20%) off of Brian Kim's incredible eBook The Hidden Secret in Think and Grow Rich. Brian has added over $60 worth of FREE bonuses, but the total product price for PDP members is only $20! (click the link to see my review of this book)
  • The ability to add discussions about posts from your blog to the Discuss your Blog post here! section. This will generate more traffic as well as brand awareness for your site.
  • Can have up to 5 lines in your signature file in order to express yourself and/or direct other members to your website(s). Non-premium members can only have 3 lines.
  • Throughout the site, your username will be in Bold Black text to make it stand out more. Non premium member usernames are in standard non-bolded text.
  • Keep up to 2,000 Private Messages in storage, compared to only 25 for non-premium members.
  • Send Private Messages to up to 200 people at at time; non-premium members can only send messages to 1 person at a time. A "Reply to All" feature is in place so that conversations can happen via Private Messages between large groups of people.
  • The ability to set your profile as Private so that no one else can see it. You can turn this feature on and off quickly if you are just looking for a temporary break.
  • You can use custom CSS styling to make your profile look however you want it to look. The options are limited only by your imagination.
  • In addition to being able to see who has viewed/rated your own profile, you can also see who has viewed/rated other people's profiles. This is handy for seeing who is active in the community.
  • Can add events to Community Calendar – If you are hosting or know about teleconferences, seminars, or other important events in the Personal Development community, premium members are allowed to post those events on the public calendar to be seen by all.
  • Can email other members using the secure online form. Contact other members directly through the site without having to know their email address.
  • Profile picture size can be up to 350px by 350px, compared to only 100px by 100px for non-premium members.
  • Can upload custom, animated, full-size (120px by 120px) Avatars to be used throughout the site. Non-premium members must choose from stock avatars that are only 90px by 90px.
  • Can upload up to 200kb worth of attachments to your posts throughout the site. Non-premium limit is only 20kb.
  • Can create polls on the site. Each time you start a new thread, you will have the option of attaching a poll to that thread in order to interact with, learn from, or survey the other members. Non-premium members can participate in polls, but they cannot create them.

Non-Premium functionality available to all members:

  • "MySpace like" user profile where other members can leave you comments and/or rate your profile.
  • The ability to leave comments and/or ratings on other people's profiles.
  • Edit or delete comments that are left on your profile if you wish to do so.
  • Choose from up to 10 predefined user profile templates that add color and flair to your profile, rather than just using the basic site colors.
  • See who has rated or viewed y
    our profile.
  • Keep a running count of how many people have viewed your profile so you can tweak its effectiveness
  • A Friends List, much like MySpace. If you want to be friends with someone, you send them a request. They get a notification when they log in, and when they accept your request, they are added to your profile as one of your Friends.
  • Ability to click on any words in your profile in order to search for other people on the site who are interested in those same topics, or have those same topics added to their profile. You also have the ability to "turn off" this feature so that you can write sentences & paragraphs on your profile that are not clickable.
  • Start new discussions in any forum.
  • Use RSS feeds to have individual threads sent directly to your RSS reader, rather than having to come to the site to read them.
  • Ability to add individual pages from the site to your Favorites list. At any time you can jump to your favorite areas of the site directly, rather than having to remember where that area was, and then navigate to it.
  • Set up customized folders to store and keep track of Private Messages that you have sent to other members.
Junior Thought Leader

Junior Thought Leaders have all of the privileges listed above for Premium Members, and in addition, they are allowed to run one 468px by 60px banner advertisement as part of their signature file.

Junior Thought Leaders are people who have a website that shares valuable self improvement or personal development information, and their banner advertisement is meant to add value to the Personal Development Partners community by exposing more people to the useful information contained at the Junior Thought Leader's website.

NOTE: Your banner advertisement must go to your website, not to an affiliate or other partner site.

Also, Junior Thought Leaders enjoy all of the following additional benefits:

  • Usernames are in bold, blue font throughout the site in order to bring more attention to your posts.
  • A link in the left sidebar of the site under the "Thought Leader" category
  • Inclusion of your RSS feed in the Thoughts from our Thought Leaders forum, a permanent feature on the forum homepage

Cost for Junior Thought Leader membership is a $25 donation for every 6 months of membership, and includes a free view of your banner advertisement in every single post that you make.

Senior Thought Leader

Senior Thought Leaders have all of the benefits enjoyed by Premium members as well as Junior Thought Leaders. In addition, Senior Thought Leaders will have their usernames in red, bold font throughout the site in order to bring the maximum amount of attention to their activities.

Senior Thought Leaders can choose from 2 different membership levels.

  • Level 1 – $30 donation per 6-month period.
  • Level 2 (HIGHLY recommended) – A $5 donation is the only cash donation that is needed, and in addition to that small donation, you will submit a useful and valuable electronic product that can be freely downloaded by Premium Members, as well as other Thought Leaders.

Senior Thought Leaders who wish to take advantage of the 2nd option in order to share their quality products with the Personal Development Partners community need only make the $5 donation. You will then be contacted via email about getting your product into the archives in order to make it available to members who have access to that part of the site.

NOTE: The product that you donate must be your own, 100% original work. You cannot donate free copies of electronic documents that you are not the original author of. This is done so that the archive of products available to PDP members has extreme value, and is not just a collection of the same rehashed information that so many of us have already seen on the Internet.

As if all of that wasn't enough…

Since my short-term goal is to build up the PDP community as quickly and effectively as possible, I have decided to add one more very cool prize to give away during this membership drive!

Out of the next 100 people who sign up for a Premium membership, I will randomly draw 5 of their names and give them a FREE lifetime Senior Thought Leader membership!

For those of you not mathematically inclined, that means that by signing up as a Premium member for only $10, you have a 1 in 20 chance of winning a lifetime Senior Thought Leader membership to the site, worth $30 all by itself, not to mention a lifetime of free advertising and you will never have to pay any additional fees to keep your Senior Thought Leader status.

Let's see:

  1. Incredible value
  2. Huge personal and professional growth potential
  3. A chance to win some very cool cash and prizes
  4. Incredibly inexpensive
  5. Awesome affiliate program to recruit new community members and leaders

Am I the only one who thinks that there is no reason NOT to sign up right now???

I'll see you over there!

    Hi YOU,

Aaron enthusiasm is unbeatable and by now you’re probably already convinced that PDP is the BEST community place in the net. That’s right!

However, I’d also like to tell you my opinion about it, as a “neutral 3rd party”, though a PDP member, of course.

I seriously recommend all of you who have not gone into PDP yet to do it and as soon as possible 🙂

We are learning so much together!
There are really interesting conversations and exchanges going on, and we are meeting amazing people who have similar interests.

There’s people from all over the world making it sure that you’ll find company 24h/day 😉

And the whole atmosphere is one of respect, positivism and love.

We are waiting for you there! Don’t take too long, ok?

    Patricia,

As an extremely valued member of PDP, I can’t thank you enough for dropping by to leave an honest assessment of the Personal Development Partners community.

You are exactly the kind of person who makes PDP the wonderful resource that it is, and I continue to be radically grateful to you for your contributions, and the wisdom that you have shared there.

    Thanks, Patricia! 🙂
