Sure, everyone wants to get all of their ducks in a row and start (or continue) leading a wonderful life. However, our own life has a way of getting in the way of our efforts at living that wonderful life, and we find ourselves in a never-ending circle of repeated behavior patterns.
If you want to bust out of that self-replicating “circle of sameness,” then add some rocket fuel to your personal development efforts, and give yourself Unlimited Power for success!
This post was inspired by the ‘!! SEVEN WEEKS TO SEVEN DAYS !!‘ celebration that was kicked of by Karen Lynch, the wonderful writer who powers all of the goodness over at the Live the Power Site.
Karen is going to be celebrating both the 1-year anniversary of her blog as well as her own birthday in September, and she has used the grand occasion as a way to continue to build the blogging community, as well as to inspire both blog readers and blog writers to share their thoughts and their writing as a way of getting some cool celebration prizes.
So, without any further adieu, I strongly encourage you to go over to Karen’s site and check out the ‘!! SEVEN WEEKS TO SEVEN DAYS !!‘ celebration, and to participate with your comments and your writing. If you do participate, please put a link back to this post as well as Karen’s original post so that she can keep track of who is on board, and award the prizes accordingly.
Practicing Personal Development with Unlimited Power
As soon as I saw the “Unlimited Power” theme that Karen requested bloggers to write about, I was all over it! It is my belief (which makes it my reality, for you Ho’oponopono fans) that each of us is a self-contained source of unlimited potential, and that proper focus and attention is all that is required for us to literally have, do, or be anything that we desire.
This theme, however, called for me to find a way to put into words how it is that I keep up that level of power as I go about my day to day life. It occurred to me immediately why it is that I have such a feeling of empowerment, no matter what it is that I happen to be doing:
It is because I believe in everything that I am doing, or I wouldn’t be doing it!
It is not the individual power of any given person that is in question here. Each of us was given the same potential to create success as every other person. The only thing that holds back the flood of our success is what we actually believe is possible.
By removing our doubts about whether or not we are doing the right thing, or about whether or not we are actually able to accomplish any given task, we also remove the roadblocks that were previously holding us back from massive success. Look at some examples from history:
- Mahatma Ghandi – An old guy whose physical appearance was one of frailty and smallness, yet his teachings and impact on the world are (or at least were) taught as part of the American education system.
- Henry Ford – The man didn’t even graduate high school, yet the quality and the brand name that he pioneered are to this day considered top of the line.
- Arnold Schwarzenegger – He couldn’t speak a lick of English when he first came to America, but he went on to win an unprecedented 7 Mr. Universe titles, to become one of the most famous action movie heroes of his time, and then he became the Governor of California!
To look at each of those men (and countless other men and women in history), at first glance their power certainly seemed limited. Whether by physical limitations, a lack of “formal” education, or a huge language and cultural barrier, before their accomplishments went down in history, very few people would have predicted the widespread influence that each of them would have had on the world at large.
The moral to this story, however, is not what they actually accomplished, but what they believed they could accomplish! To them, failure was not an option, because in their hearts they believed not only in what they were doing, but that what they were trying to accomplish was possible.
They did not allow their power to be limited by what the rest of the world believed. Their unlimited power came from their own belief about what was possible, and if that power could be spawned by something as intangible as a belief system, then it could just as easily be refilled or renewed by that same belief system.
There ARE no limits to the human potential or to our ability to manufacture Unlimited Power in order to create whatever we wish to create.
Mahatma Ghandi believed it. Henry Ford believed it. Arnold Schwarzenegger believed it. And *I* believe it, and that belief makes me unstoppable.
Are you ready to believe?

Welcome to the Today is that Day community! 🙂
I agree completely, that belief is a key component to success…
But perhaps we’re looking at this backwards. To borrow from Karen’s last post, it was not BECAUSE they believed that these men did what they did, rather it was because they were in alignment with their path and purpose in life, and felt passion for their goals.
With all of these three things lined up, combined with personal belief, they were able to do what it was they were here to do.
If my ego decided I was going to be the greatest footballer the world has ever seen, no matter how much I believed in myself… I wouldn’t be able to do it because it’s not my path, passion or purpose.
Belief is not something that we externally create, but something we internally feel when we are living our path, purpose and passion.
Much joy,
KL
Kara-Leah,
You said the magic word! Alignment
When I wrote Energy Harmonics, part of that mission was due to the fact that I saw a lot of people were missing the boat when it came to Alignment.
I felt too much emphasis was being put on “good” or “bad,” when in all actuality, each of those are purely internal concepts.
As you said, when you are living your path, purpose, and your passion, that is when you are in alignment, and questioning a belief system never even enters into the equation.
Awesome thoughts, Kara-Leah – thanks for sharing!
Well, simply put, you become what you believe.
The difficult part is that you have to hold your faith and just don’t quit. This is easier said than done. You will have difficult times and you will have self-doubt. But once you’ve changed your belief system you will not be fearful and doubtful. You know where you are and where you want to go. And you can clearly see you are making progress everyday.
We all have a giant within ourselves.

Anthony,
As you said, “The difficult part is that you have to hold your faith and just don’t quit.”
It is the “don’t quit” part that trips most people up. We start out strong, but then when results don’t show up as quickly as we would like, the self doubt sets in and the “old” lifestyle patterns start to reassert themselves.
I like 90 days as a time frame to prove that change is possible, because no matter what your goal is, if you actually work at it on a daily basis for 90 days (as opposed to just thinking about it or wishing on it), then it is not possible for you to NOT see forward progress!
After that, it’s just a matter of replicating the process. 🙂
