Today is May 24, 2008, and it is the Saturday of the Memorial Day holiday weekend in the United States. Memorial Day is a holiday when U.S. citizens remember the military members who have died in order to protect and preserve the American way of life. I am an ex-U.S. Army soldier myself, so I have a special appreciation for those men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice so that I could have the freedom and the opportunity to sit here, safe and secure in my home, writing this tribute to … [Read more...] about Remember What the Party is For

10 Things you Can't do with the Law of Attraction
For the record, I am a total believer in the Law of Attraction. You can call it universal consciousness, the power of intention, conscious creation - whatever. No matter what you call it, or how you define it, the simple truth remains that human beings have the ability to manipulate their lives in order to get exactly what they want, and that thought fills me with joy on a regular basis. However, the problems start when people start thinking along the lines of "Well, if I have unlimited power, … [Read more...] about 10 Things you Can't do with the Law of Attraction
Ho'oponopono – Do it for the Kids!
Okay, I'll admit it. I chose that headline for the catchy parent/humor value, but this post does include discussion of Ho'oponopono and children - I promise! In November 2006 I put together a post about Ho'oponopono after listening to a very informative conference call with Dr. Joe Vitale. Thanksgiving Highlights and Pictures
My wife and I just returned from a trip with some close friends of ours to Hayesville, NC. For those of you who don't know where Hayesville is, don't feel bad. I was THERE and I barely know where it is! If memory serves, the entire county has fewer people than the high school that services just my neighborhood. Here's what's funny, though. I honestly can't remember the last time that I felt more relaxed and welcome. We were visiting the family of a married couple that we are friends with and … [Read more...] about Thanksgiving Highlights and Pictures
Do You Ho'oponopono?
At this point in the game, the word "Ho‘oponopono" is not nearly as well known as it will be within the next 6 to 12 months, so I am putting forth this basic description of Ho‘oponopono so that you can decide for yourself if you would like to engage in some further study. Based on what I know, I would recommend that you DO spend more time learning about and practicing Ho‘oponopono, and if you take that advice, Dr. Joe Vitale is the man who you want to learn about it from. Dr. Vitale's passion … [Read more...] about Do You Ho'oponopono?
Gratitude, Good Times, and Glory Days
One of the many age-old concepts that is recently starting to be understood as a powerful tool for our personal success is that of Gratitude. The good old-fashioned concept of simply being thankful for the things that you have in your life. One of the reasons why it has not been a mainstream self improvement tool in the past is because it seems like common sense, so people don't recognize a need to experience Gratitude on a much more fundamental level than simply being thankful for normal, … [Read more...] about Gratitude, Good Times, and Glory Days
