The work towards making the Personal Development Partners site more valuable and more useful is a never-ending labor of love on my behalf, and I am happy to say that I came up with a doozy of an idea this past weekend.
What I really like about the idea is that it is a value-added benefit to all present and future members of PDP, but at the same time it will be a stand-alone product that will have value for people who are not PDP members.
I will make the official announcement about the new service on Tuesday, January 22, 2008, so be sure to tune in here at that time in order to learn all of the details. In the meantime, there are two critical changes to PDP that are already underway:
1) Only 2 Junior/Senior Thought Leader slots left! Lexi Sundell and Paulette Bethel snatched these up! Unlimited Premium memberships still available, though!
When I first started PDP, I came up with the concept of Junior and Senior Thought Leaders as a membership option for people who were already involved in the personal development or self improvement industry. The idea was a smashing success, but at the same time, I want the site to be interactive for all members, not just for personal development/self improvement gurus.
That being said, I have decided to put a cap on the number of Junior and Senior Thought Leader memberships that are available at PDP. There are presently a total of 28 Junior/Senior Thought Leaders, and I am only going to allow 2 more to join up.
Once those 2 slots are gone, the Junior/Senior membership options will disappear from the site until if/when any of the present Thought Leaders step down. There are loads of benefits to being a Junior or a Senior Thought Leader at PDP, so please believe me when I say that NOW is the time if you want to grab one of those coveted final 2 positions.
2) Membership Rate Increase
Once the announcement that I am going to make on Tuesday has been implemented and is in full-swing, PDP will be switching to a month-to-month membership model, compared to the present model, which is every 6 months.
This is due to the extreme value that the site already represents, and once the new service has been added, there will be even more cut and dry, obvious reasons why a low-cost monthly membership to the site is worth every dime.
If you have considered joining PDP in the past, but haven’t gotten around to it yet, NOW is the time! The Premium membership rates right now are $20 every 6 months, and that will be changing to $20 every month once the new service has been implemented.
However, with both the Junior/Senior Thought Leader memberships as well as the Premium memberships, all members who are on board before the site is switched to a monthly model will be grand-fathered in at the 6-month rate.
In other words, you can join now and pay $20 every 6 months for life, or, you can wait until later – after you realize the extreme value that the site represents – and then you’ll be paying $20 EVERY month.
No, this isn’t some ploy to try and sell more memberships to the site. There is on-going value available at PDP, and the new service will include adding even more life-changing, useful content to the site on a regular basis. That content will be FREE for all members of PDP, while everyone else will need to pay for it.

Thanks for the reminder, about to join now. I found you whle doing some research for my blog plan for 2008.
Looks good and like the idea of partnership for goals
I think the idea of having junior and senior thought leaders is a really great idea
Thank you Aaron. I’m so pleased I joined when I did!
You’re doing an incredible job and it’s upward and onward from here. It’s all good. 🙂
Cheers, Thea
Hey, Suzie!
Thanks for joining up and I’m looking forward to you participating at PDP. Partnerships are where it’s at for success – both online and offline – so the more people who work together, the better it will be for everyone! 🙂
Terry,
Thanks for the positive feedback, and it is an idea that has worked out very well. The site has a full complement of leaders now, and more people who are waiting to fill in once some slots become vacant, so it has definitely been a successful idea.
Thank you, Thea! You are such a great leader at PDP, and I couldn’t be happier about you leading the way both there, as well as with your own endeavors. Thanks for being a part of the team! 🙂
