Procrastination is something that almost all of us will encounter at some stage in our lives. Whether it manifests in an act as simple as putting off going to the gym (until tomorrow … it’s always ‘until tomorrow’ isn’t it?) or as serious as not completing a work project on time – with serious consequences – procrastination has the unfortunate ability to negatively impact on your overall wellbeing.
That’s why you need to take action now, in order to stamp out procrastination and get more done with your life. Remember that every minute wasted is a minute you cannot claim back – there are no refunds in the game of life. This can be a rather sobering thought if you sit down and attempt to add up all the time you have wasted in a period as small as a few days.
The good news is that there is a fast, simple, and free cure for procrastination. It’s called taking action (aka getting things done). Unless there is some physiological ailment preventing you from being active, it is just a case of rewiring your mindset and arming yourself with the tools and resources you need to beat procrastination and get things done. The power to lead an amazing life that is full of activity and energy already lives inside of you; all that is needed is training to unleash it!
On my blog ‘Why Am I Lazy?’ I recently put together a comprehensive guide that teaches 40 ways to stop procrastinating. I’m sure the irony of taking your time to read through such a large blog post will not be lost on you, but my aim was to compile an all-in-one resource for beating procrastination and laziness for good. I’ve received a lot of positive feedback from readers about my guide, and I’m sure you’ll love it too.
Some of the procrastination-busting strategies you will learn include:
How to harness the amazing power of visualisation to help you take action
Why keeping a “motivation journal” could be one of the biggest steps you take towards building a more active, energetic you.
Why the subconscious fear of failure is holding you back from achieving your desires in life
How to eliminate digital and offline distractions that are sucking away at your time
I’m a firm believer in making the most of every day I have on this earth; and I’m sure that you are too. I wrote my guide to arm you with the strategies you need to extract the maximum amount of fulfilment you can get out of every precious moment. Whether you are a serial procrastinator, or just occasionally find yourself putting off until tomorrow what you could do today, you’ll find some useful tidbits to help you become more motivated to make the most of life.
To finish, I’d like to leave you with a pertinent quote from Mahatma Gandhi:
“The future depends on what you do today.”
The simple act of doing something now (that you might have otherwise put off until tomorrow) could unleash amazing positivity and benefit in your future. With the right mindset and tools to make taking action a breeze, you will be able to overcome procrastination forever and reap some incredible rewards in your life.
My life was transformed for the better by kicking the nasty habit of procrastination – and I’m sure you will experience changes that are just as positive. After all, nobody ever regretted getting more out of life!
