Personal Development Partners is almost finished!

By on September 2, 2007

I appreciate everyone’s patience as I’ve been away from regular posting here on the blog while working fervently on the new version of the Personal Development Partners interface.

The work is proceeding nicely, and I’ve taken a large chunk out of the master to-do list, including finding a very professional and clean user interface, and I have also found several plug-ins (or “mods” as they’re called at vBulletin) that will make the site more useful, and more fun as well.

My original target for the relaunch was going to be Tuesday, September 4th, but just today (September 2nd) I came up with great new idea of how to add more value to the community itself, but it is going to add a few days to the development time.

I am going to be contacting several people via email about the idea, and since September 3rd is the Labor Day holiday in the U.S., I expect it will be Tuesday or Wednesday before I get all of the responses back. However, the idea that I came up with will make the few extra days more than worth the wait!

Also, I need some feedback from the readers of this blog as well!

I am finalizing the fields that will be included on the profile for each and every member, and each of these fields will be able to be searched upon. I have added 2 custom fields, one where you can list the goal(s) that you want to accomplish, and another that lists the systems that you can use to get to goal attainment.

So, for example, if you have a goal of achieving financial freedom, and one of your chosen systems is the use of mastermind groups, you would be able to search the community for other members with similar aspirations who are using similar systems.

Here is where I need your help!

Included below are the goals and the systems that I have come up with so far. After spending the last 48 hours with my head buried in code, I know I am missing some concepts that should definitely be on this list. Here is what I have so far:

Primary Goal Systems
Financial Freedom GTD (Getting Things Done)
Weight Loss/Health Seminar Attendance
Better Relationships Productivity Practices
Personal Growth Mastermind Groups
Career Growth Networking
Start/Finish Education Simpleology
Spiritual Growth Writing/Reading Blogs
Small Business Success Law of Attraction
Other Ho’oponopono
  Other

What I need from you is to let me know what else you would like to see on this list, or what you think should be here, even if you personally aren’t interested in that goal or system.

The Personal Development Partners interface is for you – the type of people who read this blog and want their lives to be filled with happiness and success, so here is your chance to take part in making that happen!

Drop a comment below, or just shoot me an email with your thoughts. Again, we are definitely on track for a launch this week, so look for another update SOON! 🙂

Thanks to all of you for the great suggestions! I knew I was missing some of the big ones, but my brain wasn’t working at full capacity, so I outsourced it to the readers, and you have all helped out immensely!

I will definitely look into making these suggestions part of the system in one way or another.
