Are you affirming your way to a whole lot of nothing?
Are you visualizing a grand landscape that for some reason never seems to actually manifest into reality?
Are you consciously creating with clarity a cornucopia of coolness that curiously constructs…not much of anything?
Okay, I'll admit I got a little carried away with that last one, but you get the picture!
You are working the Law of Attraction for all it is worth, but you have yet to really see the type of results that you were looking for. In fact, despite how much you were excited about the concept, you are beginning to wonder if it all wasn't just a bunch of nonsense after all.
If that describes you, then have faith, Grasshopper. Your salvation is at hand!
Actually, it's at…well, it's everywhere! It's you. Or, to be more precise it's what you're not doing. Confused? Let's simplify this:
You are thinking about the Law of Attraction, or you are thinking about what you want, but you are not allowing yourself to become a vibrational match to it.
Oh, and for you non-believers in the Law of Attraction? Stick around, because this lesson will teach you to be successful, too!
The problem has become – in and out of the LOA circles – that people have allowed themselves to get far too caught up in the methods of achieving success, yet they have forgotten one very important thing.
Oh look – there it is! Right up in the header of the very website that you are reading right now:
Success is Something you Attract by the Person you Become.
It's that simple. The Law of Attraction (or your own self improvement strategy) is not working because you have not become a vibrational match with the things that you want to attract into your life. It's all about the way that you FEEL.
If you don't feel like the kind of person who has the things that you are attempting to bring into your life, you'll never have them.
Let's see a few examples:
You've been single for awhile, and the primary thing that you want to bring into your life is some hot young thang (said with appropriate southern drawl) who is so mentally and physically attractive that he/she needs a cadre of full-time bodyguards to fight off the masses.
Sounds great, right? Any of you who are in the situation of trying to conjure up a satisfying relationship will know what it is like to envision that "dream mate". So let me ask you this:
Are you that type of person? Do you walk around town so sure of your level of magnetism that you know for a fact that every individual you come across is saying either: A) I want that person, or B) I want to BE that person!
So, is that you? Is that how you feel when you go through your life? Are you that confident in who you are and what you have to offer? Honestly?
No? Well, then what makes you think you are going to attract someone who does feel that way?
By the way, I just used the "hot young thang" to illustrate my point. Whatever it is that you are looking for in a mate is what you should put yourself in vibratory alignment with. If you don't, you are doing the equivalent of saying:
"I want something, but I am not willing to be the type of person who deserves that thing."
That doesn't make a lot of sense where I come from…
Let's say your primary goal is to attract wealth. Moolah. Currency. CASH! You can do anything that you want if you have enough cash, right? So, it's a fine goal, but are you a vibrational match for being rich as you go about your day to day business? Do you walk, talk, and act like a rich person?
When you talk to other people, do you talk to them as if you are made of money? Do you have conversations with people as if you have no financial worries whatsoever?
Do you think that the average millionaire hangs around a coffee shop complaining about the cost of gas these days? Oh sure, he/she may discuss it as a political or economic issue, but that millionaire isn't about to drain his bank account while standing at the pump. I bet you have had a negative thing or two to say about it, though, haven't you?
What about your rent or your utility bill? Do you complain or worry or become distraught, angry, or frustrated about paying that? Again, put yourself in the shoes of a millionaire.
That millionaire might very well count every single red cent when it comes to his/her real estate dealings. However, it is only because they are being smart about money, and they are managing money, and they are at ease about money. Money doesn't control them, they control the money!
What about you? Are you vibrating on the same level as someone who controls money, or are you wondering where you are going to come up with the cash to pay your water bill?
In each of these examples (and there are endless others), the actual circumstances are irrelevant. It doesn't matter if you are trying to manifest a relationship, a pile of cash, a good job, or even just a low level of bodyfat, the circumstances are exactly the same:
If you don't feel and act like that person, you will never become that person!
Give this idea some thought. Go back and re-read this post a few times if you need to. Feel free to share it with your friends, and get their thoughts on the matter.
See if you can find anyone who says that you can act like one person, yet become a different person.
I'd love to hear your thoughts!
Most people never truly believe that they could visualize what they want. Yes, the practice visualization but all the manifestation is not reflected in the way they act!
When you don’t act the way you visualized how you want to be, you will never be what you want.
You post stated is very nicely. Well Done! 🙂
Thanks, James!
It seems like a no-brainer when you think about it, but that is exactly what people are doing. They are visualizing, affirming for, or thinking about some grand life, but then as soon as they get done doing that, they immediately go back to feeling and acting like the person who doesn’t have those wonderful things!
It’s all in the way that you feel. A person can change their life instantly because who you are – millionaire, lover, career success, fitness champion – those people are on the inside and they can be born or reborn in a single moment. 🙂
Thanks for your comments, James!
Aaron,
You have an uncanny knack of telling me what I need to hear when i need to hear it.
As you know, I’ve worked the LOA in my life, and it has produced amazing results. But I still have goals, something to become.
One of those things is…
I want to have a positive impact on as many people in the world as possible. I want to part of a new global awareness about our interconnectedness and the power of our thoughts, feelings, and actions. I want to reach out to as many people as possible and touch them. So… if I understood you correctly… to reach this goal… I have to think, feel, and act like a person that has something powerful to say, something that can change the world and change reality. Become that person!
Thanks Aaron!
Steve,
You do understand me correctly, and I couldn’t be happier about delivering these types of messages when people need to hear them! In fact, I was inspired to write this post after reading something else, so as you indicated, we ARE all connected!
You bring up an excellent example with your specific goal, because it is such a wonderful goal, yet so HUGE that it would seem like one person couldn’t really make a difference.
Well, where would we be if everyone thought like that? I love your writing, Steve, as do so many other people. However, praise from others may help to boost a person’s confidence, but whether or not they strut around town like they’ve got something to say that is worth hearing – that part is totally up to them!
The effect, however, when this is done properly, is immediate and amazing! It’s like turning on a light switch, and all of a sudden you are this super-conductive magnet that is attracting all of the people, resources, and circumstances that you need to be successful.
But you already know all of that from working with the LOA in the past, so the key here is not a new level of education, but rather a new way of walking around town.
If you get my drift! 🙂
Hey Aaron,
I feel the key to getting your actions aligned with your thoughts is this:
1) Discard old beliefs
2) Shift your perspective to think like what your dreamed to be
I used to think I am a ordinary fellow who can’t even motivate myself. I was inspired by Stephen Pierce and Tony Robbins and wanted to be able to motivate people like they do.
I discard my old belief that I am ordinary and allowed myself to believed that I am able to motivate people and to change their life. I also had to suit my words with action and I talk positively. I began attracting people that need help and I obliged.
What’s interesting is that the more I do it, the happier I get and the more I become what I wanted to be.
James,
You nailed it with the phrase “discard old belief”. One of the biggest reasons why people have limited success with their lifestyle improvement efforts is because they keep trying to have a better life while still standing in the same spot they were standing in before!
What was that quote from Einstein?
If you want to make some changes in your life, then you need to change your life!
Awesome stuff, James, and thanks for keeping the education flowing! 🙂
This is one of the best posts on LOA that I’ve ever read! It is simply… inspiring!
And like James Soh here said, the key is to trash the weak old beliefs and reinvent yourself.
Titus,
Thank you SO much for your positive feedback! I have been reading and writing about the LOA for awhile now, and whenever I come across a concept that brings it all home so that people can understand it, I race to my keyboard to get that info out as soon as I can.
There has been (and continues to be) so much confusion about the law of attractdion, that it is truly a joy for me to help people out by simplifying the process and explaining it in terms that apply to everyday life.
Again, I appreciate the high marks, Titus!
