The question of “What is Happiness?” is one that has been discussed by many, yet actually answered by none.
The question hasn’t been answered yet because happiness is completely subjective. Each person has their own definition.
Nonetheless, learning how other happy and successful people in the world define happiness is certainly something that can help each and every person to solidify what happiness is for them, and then use that knowledge to empower themselves to increase their own levels of happiness and success.
That being said, please take the 5 minutes that it will take you to read the interview that Alex Shalman did with me as part of his Happiness Project. Not only will you learn the happiness formula as defined by yours truly – someone who has seen similar pain, sadness, fear, and frustration in life that YOU have – but you can also contribute to a good cause in the process.
After reading the interview, leave a comment on the blog post with your thoughts on happiness, or the interview itself. Alex is giving $200 to charity in the name of the person whose interview gets the most comments, and I know from running this blog for more than a year now that you people can talk! 🙂
Take part in your own happiness by taking part in The Happiness Project, and contributing to the conversation:
This is like signing those little autographs when I was a kid. They had questions like “What is love?” and “What is happiness?” Personally, I believe that the definition of such concepts differ as we grow older. Or with each new experience. Growing up, I found myself searching for the words to define them.
Jen,
Absolutely. Our own beliefs about how to define these types of concepts is exactly what defines them, which is, of course, wonderful! 🙂
Hi Aaron, I just left a comment ‘over there’. As I said my wife and my ‘professional’ freedom is my greatest source of happiness. We live on our dream island (no joke).
Before I forget: Our great health is a factor, too. Easy to forget that one to mention. Health is something you become aware of and appreciate mostly when you’re sick.
Have a nice weekend.

John,
Thanks for participating in the conversation and sharing your views on happiness. That is truly wonderful that you live on your dream island, and I’m very grateful to have met someone who is living in their dream geography.
I am sure that you and your wife are wide open with allowing the joy of your life to flow freely in that environment, and I am so happy for your both! 🙂
